Registered, insured and trusted across Dublin

Across the Postcode

Every Layout in One Postcode

Most of Dublin 17 went up between the 1950s and the 1980s, with Clare Hall and Belcamp added much later. That spread means two houses a few minutes apart can need completely different work.

Every Dublin 17 job starts with looking at the house rather than the postcode. RGI registered, fully insured, over 5 years in Dublin, and a fixed price agreed first.

Homes We Work In

Four Dublin 17 Home Types

Four home types cover most of Dublin 17. Which one you have changes the access, the layout and what is most likely to need doing.

Access is the thing that varies most. Shared runs, courtyard layouts and flat blocks all take longer to reach than a semi with its own side passage, and we price for that honestly.

Coolock Corporation Estates

1950s to 1980s houses on their original pipe runs.

Darndale Courtyard Courts

Low-rise courts where access and shared runs matter.

Kilmore West Flat Blocks

Multi-storey blocks where one stack serves several homes.

Clare Hall and Belcamp

Newer estates with pressurised systems and sealed combis.

Massive thank you to Ben from Cortech who came for an emergency call out to find my wedding ring. Didn’t need any plumbing work thankfully as he found it in about 10 seconds by figuring out what had happened - a very logical approach. Left me feeling silly, but very grateful. Thanks so much!

I had a shower unit locked open with water flowing for a couple of hours and needed a call out. Found Cortech on Google and rang them about 9.30 am on a Friday morning. The service man, a really helpful guy called Ben was here in 40 mins and sorted the problem immediately. He also helped me find a company who had a replacement unit and parts. From my initial call, to job completed ( including help with finding replacement unit ) took 45 mins. The speed and efficiency of the service, plus the really pleasant manner in which I was dealt with was a breath of fresh air. I would highly recommend Cortech Plumbing.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who fixes a leak coming from the flat above?

Water coming through a ceiling usually starts in the flat above, from a bathroom, a washing machine or a shared pipe run. Tracing it is the first job, because that is what decides who needs to act and how quickly. Call (01) 963 6090 and we will work it out from your side first.
Soil stacks are the vertical pipes that carry waste from toilets, baths and sinks down and out of a building. In a block of flats one stack can serve several homes, so a blockage or a leak partway up affects more than one. Call (01) 963 6090 if waste is backing up or you can smell it.
Shared supply is usually the reason. Where several homes draw from the same run, a tap or a washing machine next door can take enough flow to weaken your shower for a minute or two. If it happens constantly, something else is going on. Call (01) 963 6090 and we will test the pressure.
Yes, for private work. If you rent from the council, repairs to the structure and the installations are usually their responsibility, so it is worth checking with them before paying for anything yourself. For homeowners and private landlords in Dublin 17 we work as normal. Call (01) 963 6090.
Running toilets nearly always come down to the flush valve or the inlet valve. Once either stops seating properly, water passes straight into the pan and the cistern keeps filling, and it will run all night until it is fixed. Call (01) 963 6090 and we will replace the part.
